Yeah, wyeth is hilly - there is a pretty long hill right about 1/2 way through the course. its uphill to start out of the complex - so its a downhill finish.
its by no means "flat and fast".....
are you still tossing around the idea of Diamond-man 1/2 IM?? I talked to Mike about it - and he was cool with it.
I am going to see Dr. Danielle today at 4:30pm, she had a cancellation so she is able to fit me in. I am looking forwar dto meeting her. My right calf/ankle is loosening up, but its still tight and needs to be treated. I have that 5K at wyeth Wed night and I need to be able to run well on the hills. I was out on sunday and could feel it pulling on the bigger hills (up and down; mostly on the up though).
What is up with all these calf problems lately!?!?
I am also in need of an adjustment to my neck too...
I did Diamond Man - that was my first 1/2 IM ever - flat bike from what I remember. run was a doule out and back, some roads and some trail. Not much shade - but I heard that they changed the course since then. The year that I did it, the swim was cancelled because of high bacteria in the lake! It was a long course Du - they put a 5 mile run before the bike (yes....that's five miles!). I was NOT happy at all to have to run 18 miles that day. But i did it - although I almost went home except my coach was there and talked me into racing.
was looking at "pumpkinman" in Maine - but am thinking that Delaware would be warmer!
just looked up the NJ state rti - its closed out. I am also going to be in LP that weekend - going to work at run special needs race morning and again in the afternoon. hopfully I get to see Mike and perhaps help some of the pros!!
Walt got to handle desiree flicker's bike when he worked as a "bike catcher" at IMLP!! You literally hand off your bike to people in transition (you don't rack your bike) and they go put it away for you and you are off to the bag rack to get your run gear and head into the changing tent.
Hmmm....when is it? Rolling hills are more my specialty - I can do short flat courses - flat 1/2 IM's bikes are harder for me than are hilly ones. I did Devilman 1/2 IM last year and that was flat - the tri bike seemed to help but I was ready to die of boredom on the 2nd loop. A flat/rolling olympic would be good. I'll look into that one - when is it??
I am doing Eagleman 1/2 IM in June - and that's flat so i need some practice.
Since we are probably not going to Hawaii this fall I'll probably do another 1/2 IM so we can probably ride long together for your trainnig rides this fall.
