IT REALLY WORKS. THANKS MIKE!!

Well, I've never written a blog before, but as I found out on the weekend, there is a first time for everything.
On Sunday I competed in and finished the Australian Ironman! This was my first at this distance and I can't believe it, but I'm itching for more. Really though this blog is to thank Mike for his ultra program and all his support over the last 18 months. Solely using his ultra program and principles I have completed 3 HIM and 1 Ironman in the last 15 months. My times in the HIM got fas… Continue

Great to hear that it was the clocks that went heywire, and not your body! Congrats on a terrific performance -- tough rides make for very tough marathons when you're doing an Ironman (as your buddy found out the hard way ;-), and it's good to hear that the programme helped you finish strong. Good on ya!

Hey Rob, how goes it? I think I spotted you in the results from Port MacQuarie, but I'm not entirely sure. Looks like you were rolling pretty well through about 30K on the run...anything crazy happen then? Hope all is well...

I love the snow! I was a snowboard instructor in Utah and Europe for three seasons. Living in Brisbane has been hard, the weather is too nice! Closest snow is a long way away. IM Australia is 11 weeks away, (my first IM) starting to panic, although I'm sure I will be fine. Doing a race in Queensland called the Hell of the West, on Feb 3. Basically a half IM. It is in a place called Gundawindi which is a tiny town right on the western boarder of Queensland. It is really really hot. We start at 4am and swim in a pitch black river, then it is a out and back ride that is always blowing into you on the way back, finished off with the run in about 35C heat. Can't wait! Your bloody work outs are starting to get hard, so I am enjoying my friday off. Throw a snowball at someone for me!
Cheers
Rob

Hey, mate! Got a chance to meet Chris Leigh a few weeks ago, nice guy who represents the Aussies well up here. You focused on any races over the next few weeks? How far out is IM Australia? Hang in there & enjoy it -- it's snowing outside tonight around here...cheers!

How goes it, mate? You realize that the first four members here were just friends of mine & my brother, which makes you the "real" Member #1, right?

We get to watch Macca win it all today, as NBC is airing their show this afternoon in the U.S. Oy oy oy!

Cheers,
-Mike
