Julie...rumor has it you are giving swim clinics at the Central pool!! Is this one of those "crazy" rumors...I hope not as I'd love to get any swim help from the pro!! Hey Jules! Great to hear from you. Small world, huh? Mike learned to bike that fast from me. :-) I've been coaching him, mainly on the bike, for the past 3 years (I've been coaching for about 17 years now, too). He was always posting a top swim and run split but his bike split lagged, so we've steadily improved that to where he hit an overall PR at Kona at age 43. We'll see what we can do about that in '08 when he's (gasp!) 45. Short personal history . . . raced pro in the 90s and finished ranked top American/6th in the world on the ITU circuit. Raced all over the world and got paid to do it, so no complaints. Now married for 14 years with 2 kids - Alexis, 10 and Noah, 7. Now I race bikes for fun with arguably the best amateur team in Colorado. Been here in Boulder basically since '93. I'm gonna start a strength training forum here soon, so be on the lookout if that aspect of training is of interest to you. What you did this year at IMFL is inspirational. So sorry to hear about your father, and your coach. I hope he continues to do well! And good luck with your '08 prep! Happy to answer any question you might have along the way.
