Joanna-
Nice meeting you this AM at the Arena Club. Below are links to the Ma & Pa and NCR trails. The NCR marathon tomorrow jumps onto the trail just before the 4 mile mark and starts at 9:30, so I'll probably start well before then. Paper Mill Rd. is the best place to park and is .6 m from the first mile marker. They're pretty accurate.
Hey Joanna. I think i bumped into you at the Arena Club pool this morning. My brother Lou and I regularly check this website being long time friends of Mike & Allison. Feel free to tell the Arean club you are my guest if they give you a hard time next time you are in town. Training in Bel Air can be a bit tricky b/c of the traffic so let me know if you need any ideas for places to bike or run. Best of luck in 2009.
Hey Joanna!! I met you at Mirror Lake this morning after swimming...small world ;-) What a day for our first IM! We'll remember that day for a while...I heard LP got more rain on Sunday than in the last three months!! If you're ever in Rochester shoot me a message and we'll go out for a ride. Congrats - you're an Ironman ;-)
I just moved to Syracuse 2 years ago-my husband is a Nephrologist and we had been in Maine for 15 years-he was never really happy with his job there. I did my first triathlon maybe 8 years ago. I never really trained very hard for them-no time to spend hours on the bike when my kids were little. When we moved I met a woman here who has had alot of success at IM distance-including an age group win at IMFlorida. So she is to blame for my signing up to do IMLP! I've actually had a blast training-although it is always a struggle balancing training and family. My husband is a runner and has been running ultra marathons which is also very time consuming. He has done a few 50milers and would like to do 100 in the near future. My parents live in BelAir now so I do get back to that area occasionally. My brother Tom lives in Baltimore and is good friends with John Plu and John Blair. I'm pretty sure that Jeff did go to the party for the 80's graduates but haven't heard much about it. So good to catch up.
Anyone with a son named Nate is welcome at my wedding anytime! ;-) I'll cut-and-paste your questions and send them back via a "message" - check your email in a few minutes...
