This doesn't add much to Mike's reply really, but my experience in testing/races this year has been exactly the same as yours. Eagleman expected 210 watts at 149 heat rate rode 195 for 2.5 hours. Wyckoff expected 250 at 157 rode 230 for 1 hour. Thou…
Hi Andrew, the picture was in Eastern Greenland. It was one of seven 'first ascents' we completed as part of an expedition to the area. Can't remember what we called it (how bad is that??)
You're welcome. I asked my bro this question and he thought it was more like 3-5 seconds / hundred based on looking at pro times at the Columbia Triathlon this year (no wetsuits) and last year (where everyone wore a full suit). Bottom line is they are FAST.
Good question...I'm not sure. My guess is at least 1-3 seconds per hundred. A good full suit won't feel too constricting once it's wet. But if you're concerned, a long john style works great and does give more freedom. I'll probably wear mine at Eagleman this weekend where the water is going to be 74-76 F.
I'm on the trainer until it warms up so no skyline until spring. I often run on the trails in Ramapo, and still chuckle when I think of you tumbling over you mountain bike handlebars on the cliff at the bottom of the blue trail. It's good to see that you are back in the area! have a great holiday.
