Suggestion Box for Striking a Balance

I figured a good way to use this group area would be to post questions and offer suggestions for how to approach your season such that you maintain an even focus on the multiple things that are important. I'll start off with a couple of ideas & try to add to it often, but getting some ideas from the group is also going to make this even more valuable to everyone.

Have fun with it, and help us all stay ahead of the curve! ;-)

Hi! Wondering if there are other moms out there in a similar situation trying to balance work, training and having 3 kids under 5 years at home. This is a challenging point in my life with so many other responsibilities that must come before training. Took last year off and want to begin training again in Dec. - figuring out my plan now and wondering how best to work around those days when I know I'll have to miss my workout and make it up another day (or skip it if need be?) Any others out there who are willing to chat here and share some successful ideas or suggestions? Thanks!

It's a good topic, Lou, and there's plenty of perspective to go around. The main thing that I've realized is that having the knowledge, experience, and discipline to train hard is one thing, but that can actually make it harder to stay in tune with the everyday flow of a more "normal" life. I'm hoping that the interaction around here will help me maintain that perspective over time!
